Well, well, well, where to begin. I am 25 now (I feel so OLD) and a teacher (who ever thought I could censor myself enough to be a teacher!).

Kevin and I are currently working on selling our house in Woodstock and moving back to the good ol' Tri-Cities!! Yee-Haw! I am looking for teaching positions (fingers-crossed), Pinteresting (if you don't know what this is, I'm sorry), and planning my wedding this summer. Oh what a stressful life I lead.

My new current obsession is, of course as I mentioned above, pinning things on my Pinterest boards. Since Pinterest, I have become quite the home-wife. I enjoy cooking and finding new recipes, crafting (who knew!), and finding educational cuteness to use in my classroom or with my students.

I have a dog named Walker (I've had him for 6 years, the other man in my life) who is by far the sweetest and MOST amazing dog you could ever meet (as long as you're not a child or in water :) ). I won't lie, I've considered having him as our ring bearer, but I'm afraid he would snap at the flower girl. :(

Blah, blah, blah, enough about me.

Oh, my Kevin. Let's see here, for those of you who don't know him or have not met him he is 6'3", sandy blonde hair, and skinny as a bean pole. In other words, the complete opposite of me. :) I guess that's why we're so perfect for each other (aww, gag, I know).

Kevin currently works for a big construction company and is a construction engineer. This comes in quite useful when he is at home because turns out, he is as handy as shirt pockets! He has completely remodeled our house in Woodstock, top to bottom, and it looks amazing!

Kevin LOVES the outdoors. He loves to camp, garden, hike, and all of that good hippie tree-huggin stuff (he still bathes though). He especially loves to plan trips for us to travel to the mountains, camp out, hike to waterfalls (sometimes with our dog Walker), and live like we're really roughin' it.

Finally, for those of you who know my Dad (Dave Blizard) then when you meet Kevin you will understand everything. He is quiet, but very intelectual, honest, but always VERY considerate of everyone's feelings. He is perfect, to me.

Hmmmm, well, which time? I met Kevin for the first time when I was about 19 and he was 23. We were introduced by some of our mutual friends. Nothing became of this introduction and years passed by.

My best-friend, Holly, moved to Atlanta with her now husband Allan, and shortly after Kevin also moved to Atlanta for a job. Since I was Holly's friend and Kevin was Allan's friends of course were sort of destined to socialize and see each other on occasion when I would come visit Holly and Allan in Atlanta.

As you may know, Kevin is quite shy, and I am quite not. During a visit to Atlanta I was determined to get Allan's friend to talk to me, even if it was about the weather! He was Allan's only friend that I couldn't get to shoot the breeze with me about something, anything! Long story short, I failed miserably. He shot me down with quick 1 or 2 word answers and I threw in the towel.

More time passes, we are at social getherings together (but like I said earlier, I had already thrown in the towel), and Holly tells me out of nowhere that Kevin likes me. I blow it off and think nothing of it. She continues to tell me and now more frequently that Kevin really does like me, but I still don't think she's being honest because he STILL hasn't even ever really talked to me (I continue to blow it off). Finally, one night while I was working ( I worked as a bartender at a restaurant), Kevin came up to me and started talking. I asked why he was in town (he's currently living in ATL and I'm in TN) and he answered, "because of you." I was floored, it made me uncomfortable for someone to be so honest. Again, I sort of brushed it off, out of awkwardness, but he replied with the same answer. Ultimately, we exchange numbers, start texting pretty often, then talking pretty often, then we'd visit each other in ATL or TN pretty often, and the rest is history.

It only took 3 years and a lot of convincing, but he finally got me. What he doesn't really know is, I'm the lucky one who finally got him. ;-)

Oh he got me alright! He tricked me by talking about marriage, rings, etc. on our drive home after Thanksgiving. I thought the idea had just popped into his head, not that he had already asked my parents for their blessing!

A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving he had suggested we go to a "fancy" dinner and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens to see their Christmas lights display. I found us a "fancy" restaurant in the city (Veni Vedi Vicci) and the plans were set, no big deal. We plan random date things all the time, so I thought this would be no different. Mind you all week my mom and my cousin were acting very strange and aloof, but they're known to be weirdos so I blew it off (I love you guys!).

We go have our "fancy" dinner (I picked it because it was known to have celebrity sightings! but we saw no one, wah, wah) and headed to the Botanical Gardens. It was absolutely beautiful! I was yammering on about something, taking pictures, dodging people, the usual when you go anywhere in Atlanta. Kevin suggested we go over to this big, lonely tree (I assumed because there were no people over there). When we get there he turns to me and says, "I have to do something." I froze. I had seen this in an episode of "The Office," I just knew he was going to get down on one knee and tie his shoe or something to trick me. Of course, as usual denying the truth, I asked, "What? Do you need to go to the bathroom or something?" (bahahaha, I crack up every time I think about it) He shook his head no, got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked me to marry him!!!

Aww, I know, I know, my knight in shining armor. You can always trust Kevin to be a hopeless romantic.
